In 1938, Richmond's Grace Street was part of a bustling downtown corridor. Storefronts lined Grace Street and provided Richmonders with furniture, clothing and appliances. Wall Whalen Co. built a two story, 7500 square foot building as its showroom for appliances.

Since the late 30's 9 W. Grace Street has been a retail store front, a jewelry store, a disco, a recording studio, a residence, and a photography studio. These historic walls have undergone a million dollar facelift to become 9WG Studios, a premiere audio and broadcast production studio.

9WG Studios will feature recording, shooting and editing suites designed by award winning architect Peter Grueneisen of nonzero\architecture. It is designed to be a shared space where free-lancers and production businesses can thrive.

9WG is Spang TV's first official bricks and mortar home and is shared with Red Amp Audio (aka Far West Audio), Mad Box Post and other production professionals. Stop in the next time you find yourself walking Richmond's historic streets.
